PIAZZA DEI MESTIERI

In order to summarise the history of Salfood we have to go back as far as the 1960s, when the butchers Giuseppe and Giovanni Tassone, originally from S.Albano Stura, bought the handicraft production and retail activities from the Rigat family, carried out in the building located in Via Torquato Tasso in Fossano under the name of Salfo (abbreviation of Salumificio Fossanese). Here they continued their activities of slaughtering, meat processing and charcuterie production, later changing the name to Salumificio 4 Torri.

2010 is today's story... we find Antonello, Daniela and Simone who, after an important and demanding renovation of the "Salfo" building, give life to a Restaurant-Pizzeria that preserves the tradition of the name, to which they add the word food to give it a more modern feel.

Salfood is therefore a sign of novelty and modernity but also of strong ties to tradition, the real tradition. This is demonstrated by the choice of raw materials and the systems used to process and prepare the food as well as the pizza.
