MUSEUM OF MAGIC

The Museum of Magic in Cherasco was founded on the initiative of Don Silvio Mantelli, a Salesian priest better known as Mago Sales, who, moved by a great passion, identified himself as a missionary of joy, travelling the world to cheer the suffering of others and to collect material and objects belonging to the world's great illusionist magicians.

Don Silvio, or as he calls himself, magician by passion and priest by vocation, has dedicated his entire life to childhood, especially the most fragile and abandoned. His ONLUS foundation is inspired by Don Bosco's methodology and promotes solidarity with the poor children of the Salesian missions in more than 25 countries around the world.

Inside the museum there are 4 thematic rooms with interesting scenic displays, in which more than 18,000 volumes are kept and where visitors can discover the origins of illusionism, the tools used by the great magicians and where they can try their hand at games of micro-magic, mentalism and optical illusions.
