HOTEL IL CAMPANILE

Before becoming a cosy hotel and restaurant, the Hotel Restaurant Il Campanile was called “Il Palazzo delle Anime" – or the Palace of Soulsan evocative name reminiscent of a spiritual retreat.

Construction was begun in 1765, and the complex became a theatre of significant historical events, like the occupation by Napoleonic troops in 1834, owned by a series of parishes until 1976 In 1875 Carlo Balocco, well-known artist of this area, ‘specialised’ in ex voto and religious paintings, was invited to decorate the main halls of the structure with frescoes.

Today his works still stand testimony to his faith in the rooms dedicated to welcoming guests and events.

Completely renovated, the Palazzo delle Anime became, in 2011, Hotel Il Campanile.
