The Gran Balon is a flea market that takes place every second Sunday of the month in Borgo Dora, behind Porta Palazzo in Turin.
It is the most famous antiques market in the city where you can find various second-hand objects: clothes, vinyls, furniture, paintings, plaques, gadgets and miscellaneous items. It lasts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and takes place in the streets of the neighbourhood.
There is also the Balon, which takes place weekly and offers the same type of goods, but it does not cover the whole neighbourhood and the number of exhibitors is small, hence the name "Gran Balon" because on the second Sunday of the month it is a much bigger market, as well as being well-stocked.
